How To Draw An Apple In Simple Steps
Here are two methods with step-by-step instructions on how to draw an apple.
Method 1: 8 Steps To Draw An Apple, For Children
Step 1: Using the circular lid and a pencil, draw a circle on the paper. The size of the disc determines the size of your apple, so choose accordingly. You can also draw the circle free-hand. Do not worry if the circle is not perfect, as you can make changes to it later.
Step 2: Draw a wavy line inside the circle, leaving some space from the top, as shown in the figure. The line should have a dip in the center, and the ends of the line need to overlap the circle.
Step 3: Draw an arc at the bottom of the circle. The line should have a raised center, unlike the first line. The ends of this line should overlap the circle. This will be the bottom of your apple. Your apple is now taking shape. Can you see it yet?
Step 4: Just below the first wavy line, draw a small curve with a slight dip in the center, as shown in the figure.
Step 5: On the small curve you drew in step 4, draw a stalk and a leaf. Make sure the stalk is broad at the top and tapered at the bottom. The leaf should be slightly bigger than the stalk.
Step 6: Add veins on the leaf to make it look real.
Step 7: Erase the extra lines around the apple.
Step 8: Now that your apple is done, outline the apple using a black sketch pen. Next, color the body in red, the stalk in brown, and the leaf in green.
That’s it! Your apple is ready. Encourage your child to practice and draw it multiple times. You could also ask your child to click this link and spark their interest in this delicious and nutritious fruit.
Method 2: 5 Steps To Draw An Apple
Here is another method to draw an apple. You need to follow just five simple steps. Step 1: Using a pencil, draw a huge “C” on one side of the paper.
Step 2: Draw an inverted “C” and connect it to the first “C.” The end product would have two dents, one on the top and the other in the bottom.
Step 3: Now that we have the apple body in place, in this step, let’s add details to make it resemble a real apple. Draw a stalk by drawing two lines adjacent to each other on top of the apple’s body. Make sure these lines are broader at the top. You can also draw lines on the stalk to make it look real.
Step 4: Draw a leaf near the stalk. You can add additional details inside the leaf by drawing small lines that resemble veins.
Step 5: Use the black sketch pen to outline the apple. Next, color the body of the apple red, and the stalk and leaf green.
